Merit Reading Programs:  This program offers reading aid for struggling readers from ages 2 to 18.  The software provides support for comprehension, sequencing, vocabulary, inferencing, and recall issues to name a few.  There is a wide variety of levels offered to aid readers of all levels.
ClickN’ Read Phonics: They provide struggling readers with and interactive and educational way of learning sounds all the way up to comprehension strategies.  The goal of this program it to provide and engaging and active program that is done independently.
Ace Reader: Teacher, parents and students can use Ace Reader as to improve both reading speed and comprehension.  This program offers a comprehensive reading assessment that will place the individual in the level that will best meet their needs.  The program also offers aids for individuals with dyslexia and ELL students.
Leaning Ears:  The goal of this program is to advance student achievement in the following areas:  attention, focus, communication, sensory integration, listening, and understanding.  All of this is done with the use of a variety of lessons that slowly build upon each skill set.
Language Tune Up Kit:  This is a sequential phonics program that provides students with a structured method of learning to read.  It was developed to meet the needs of those who do not learn from traditional methods.  The focus of this program is mastery teaching.

Into the Book is a reading comprehension resource for elementary students and teachers. It focuses on eight research-based strategies: Using Prior Knowledge, Making Connections, Questioning, Visualizing, Inferring, Summarizing, Evaluating and Synthesizing. There are online interactive activities to try.
Behind the Lesson provides information and teaching resources for each strategy. You can watch the 10-minute professional development videos and explore the Website for lesson plans, video and audio clips, downloads, and more.

GameGoo provides educational games that help students develop early reading and language skills. The games are based on educational and literacy research. GameGoo is developed by Earobics, a leading provider of language and literacy software. This site appears to be very interactive with stories and characters that will promote student engagement in learning.
